We are running our Internship Program for 2026, and we are looking for students who are fascinated by how systems get attacked — and how to stop it. As a Security Operations Intern at Handshakes, you will get your hands on real security challenges, work alongside experienced practitioners, and come away with experience that most graduates never get.

If you are the kind of person who reads about CVEs for fun or wonders what is really happening beneath the surface of a network, we want to talk to you.

You can look forward to:

• Monitoring and investigating real security events and alerts across our infrastructure
• Getting involved in incident response and contributing to how we improve after each one
• Supporting vulnerability assessments and security audits on live environments
• Working hands-on with cloud security tooling

We are interested to speak to you if you are:

• Currently pursuing a Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity or a related field
• Familiar with networking fundamentals or operating systems — you don’t need to be an expert, but you should know your way around
• Someone who is methodical, curious and doesn’t panic when things look broken
